Ascora has multiple mobile numbers in our servers  and when someone sends SMS  whether from Quote or Job screen, it uses the next available mobile number at that time as SMS sender.  You may see varying mobile numbers as SMS sender.

When using the SMS functionality in Ascora, you can set up an email address or mobile number where SMS replies are received.

1. Go to Administration → System Settings → SMS Settings and enter an email address or mobile number.

2.  When you receive a reply, important information are included such as name, contact number, and job or quote details  so that you can contact the person directly if necessary.

Note: To send further SMS message or reply, you need to go to the corresponding job or quote screen and click Send SMS button where you can compose your message and click Send. You can do this both in Ascora web and mobile app depending on your permission level.

1. From Ascora web, go to job or quote screen and click Send SMS.

2. From your Android Mobile App,  tap on the 3 dots located on the upper right area, select SMS, and tap Add Mobile Number.

Complete the other details such as Message if you need to edit or input manually, and once done, tap Process.

Note: A mobile user needs to have Full Access with permissions enabled in order to send SMS. Go to Administration → Users → click View beside the User Name and enable the following permissions.

  • Can Send SMS
  • Can send SMS (On Approach can still be send if this is Off)
