You must first connect your Accounting Package to Ascora before you can use the reporting piece and you can connect it in Administration → Account Integration.

Accounts Reconciliations is available for Xero, Quickbooks, and MYOB Live but not for MYOB Essentials.

Reconciliation Report

Reconciliation Report is used to go through all invoices in Ascora and your Accounting Package and it helps pick up the invoices that have not pushed across from Ascora to your accounting package such as Xero. It doesn't touch those invoices that are not coming from Ascora.

It is helpful as sometimes the system may be down or Xero API is down and you can use this report without having to go through and compare everything in Xero and Ascora manually.

1. Go to the  Reports → Invoice Report → enter the Date Range and click  Generate Reconciliation Report.

Reconciliation Report And Fix Discrepancies

If after running the Reconciliation Report and you pick up discrepancies, you can run Reconciliation Report And Fix Discrepancies to go through and compare the invoices and if they don't match to the Ascora invoices, it will then update the invoices in your accounting package. If it fails, it could be due to an old invoice, locked invoice, or an invoice with a reconciled payment.

It will also check the payments against the invoices. For example, if you have payments in Ascora that have not been pushed across to Xero, it will update them and the same works if payments were made in Xero but failed to push across to Ascora.

Note: You may need to run the Reconciliation Report again to see what has been fixed and the ones left with some actions still required.

Payments Report

This report does the same thing by running a report and identifies discrepancies but from payments point of view.

For example, you may need to check if all payments received last month in Ascora have been pushed across to your accounting package. If after running this report and you notice discrepancies, you have the option to Reconcile Payments in Accounting Package.

Note: If your accounting package fails to connect to Ascora, make sure that you are connected. For example, there might be some limitations in Xero side but you can simply click Disconnect and then Reconnect afterwards.

You can do this by going to Administration → Accounts Integration.
