You can create different types of leave depending on your requirements.


1. To create the different types of leave, go to Administration → Scheduling → Leave Types → click Add New.

 


2. In the new field that appears, type the name of the leave type that you’re adding and it will automatically saves it. That new leave type will now become an available dropdown option when applying a leave for a user from the user screen.


3. Go to Administration → Users →  click View beside the User Name.

 


4. Scroll down and look for the area called “Upcoming Leave” and click Add.

 


5. Complete the following fields and once done, click Save.

    1. Select the leave type
    2. For Full Day Leave, Tick From Start of First Day. For Half Day Leave, untick this box to enter start time of leave.
    3. Enter the leave start date
    4. For Full Day Leave for the last day, Tick From End of Last Day. For Half Day Leave, untick this box to enter end time of leave.
    5. Enter the leave end date
    6. If you tick this, you’ll be given an option to set frequency or number of occurrences
    7. You tick this if you want to apply the same leave for everyone in the same Scheduler Group (for example, a public holiday which applies to all users or staff).
    8. You can indicate the number of hours per day such as 8 hours
    9. This field automatically calculates the number of hours depending on dates and duration selected.
    10. jEnter notes if necessary


6. Once saved, you will now see the leave details as shown below.


7. Go to Scheduler and you’ll see the user’s schedule blocked out. If you hover the mouse over the leave area, notes will also appear. You will not be able to make bookings for users whose schedule is blocked out by leave.
