Problem

An upcoming Job created from a Job Template appears to be on the wrong date based on the Job Template.

Solution

This is commonly due to the Job Template changing over time - the Job may have been created with a different recurring frequency.  For example the job may have been set to recur every X days rather than every 4th Friday.

You may see that the Next Job displayed on the template is different to the date associated with the Job that was created.

If the Job has not been modified, you can attempt to resolve this by deleting the Job and then re-running the Job Template.  This will re-create the Job based upon the current Template settings.

To delete and re-create the template
  1. Open the related Job Template.
  2. Under the Jobs tab, select the future Job to be deleted and click Delete Jobs.
  3. To re-create the Job, click the Run Now button - this will run the Template again and Ascora will re-create the Job based on the current
  4. Click the refresh button on the Jobs grid to check the Jobs that have been created.

Example

The future Job does not appear to be created a Fortnight in advance as expected.  In this case we'll delete and re-run the Job Template:

After refreshing the Jobs grid the newly created Job is shown and the frequency matches the two weeks as expected:
