Gantt chart is now available in Ascora to help manage your projects or jobs and also show the dependency relationships between projects /jobs and as well as the current schedule status.

To access Gannt Chart, There are a couple of ways to access the Gantt Chart, one is from the Scheduler → Project Gantt.

Another way to access Gantt Chart is to go to Reports and select Gannt Jobs Gantt Chart from the reports list.

Only jobs with Expected Dates will appear in the Gantt Chart. To add expected dates, access the job and add the Expected Date from the Job Details screen.



Gantt Chart Overview

Here's an overview of the functionalities available in the Gannt Chart. You can refer to the image below to match the corresponding letters for each of the functionalities listed from A to H.

     A. Filter by Expected Dates

     B. Filter by Job Types

     C. Filter by Projects Only. Selecting Project Only shall only display Section/Stage-based Jobs.

     D. Regenerate Gannt Chart which is helpful after making any changes to your projects or tasks.

     E. Change the view to Day, Week, or Month. The default view is Week. 

     F. Drag a project or task to a different date or adjust the start and end dates by dragging the box.

     G. Export Gannt Chart to PDF

     H. Have projects or tasks appear in the list by adding Expected Date in the main job screen.

How to Display Projects Only

Projects are your section-based or stage-based jobs which you can display by ticking the box beside "Projects Only" and clicking on the "Generate Gantt Chart" button.

You can also click on the black triangle beside the parent job to toggle the view such as hiding or showing the section jobs.

How to edit Start/End Dates

& Completion Percentage

Double-click the job box and you'll be able to see a pop-up box where you can edit the dates and completion percentage and then click Save.

Another way to adjust the completion percentage is to hover the mouse cursor over the box until you see the little triangle which you can drag right or left to adjust accordingly.

How to Reschedule Tasks

You can drag and resize the tasks if needed by hovering the mouse cursor on the edge of the box until you see the double arrow which you can drag to resize reschedule the task or project. Alternatively you   You can also drag and drop to move a task or project to a different date.

How to resize the Gantt Chart

Hover the mouse cursor on the grey vertical line right next to the % Complete column which automatically changes to blue vertical line.

Drag to the left side to decrease the task list box.

Note: You can drag it all the way across to the left side to completely cover the task list if preferred.

How to Create Dependencies

You can create dependencies between two tasks or projects in the Gannt Gantt Chart and once configured, these tasks will have lines connecting them to show these dependencies.

    Note: You can connect as many tasks or projects as needed as it's not limited to connecting just two tasks or projects.

How to Remove Dependencies

To remove dependencies between tasks or projects, click on the arrow and press the Delete key on your keyboard.

How to Resize the Gantt Chart
